The bout between Wilder vs. Fury is now highly anticipated that it will take place on this upcoming December 1, 2018. Deontay Wilder as the current defending WBC Heavyweight champion will face Tyson Fury as the challenger who is also the former champion on WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO, and The Ring heavyweight champion. There was already a prediction of a fight Wilder vs. Fury since several years back. There were even YouTube interviews and other social media videos containing statements from the two boxers that they would like to face each other.
Since their first encounter in April 2013, both fighters made a promise to fight in the future. And now, Wilder has become the first American world champion after more than a decade. The last title belonged to Wladimir Klitschko, which suffered defeat form Wilder back in November 2015.
What the situation in both fighters’ camp is now heating since the date is getting closer each day. The latest news update stated that Wilder left three pad man in need of surgery after a show off of his punching power. Even his head coach, Jay Deas is one of the three members that were injured during the training. It is hard to deny that Wilder has a strong punching power looking from his records. He won all 40 of his fight with 39 of them was by KO. You can see how strong his punches from his previous matches. It was an accident which Wilder hit just under the body protector of his coach. Deas said that he felt that it was hurt, but he kept going anyway. Later on, the pain kept going on, and the pain gets worse, that was when he decided to see a doctor. The doctor decided right away that he needed hernia surgery and of course, Deas was very surprised by that decision.
The fight is truly getting hotter as the champion has been working so seriously to take on the challenger. The result is highly unpredictable as both sides have the same undefeated record. Tyson Fury has 27 victories out of 27 fight, and 19 of them is a win by KO. Just recently, Wilder called out to Tyson on the social media, stating that the challenger will never compete with him or beat him. Wilder’s last match was in March which he faced Luis Ortiz and beat him, defending his WBC champion title.
Meanwhile, Fury defeated Francesco Pianeta in August in his fight in Ireland. It was his first fight after a long layoff because of his matter. It was right after his magnificent win over Wladimir Klitschko.
